for enoughrecords's 100th artist album online release we
have decided to release a bootleg of a concert performed by aenedra.
the concert was organized by our fellow portuguese netlabel
freakazoids merzbau as the first portuguese meeting of netlabels.
the concert took place a little less then a year ago and the bootleg
was captured by the cool folks from rádio zero using a minidisc
plugged straight off the mixing table, sadly missing title announcing
vocals and the crowd ambience. but who cares.
aenedra is an experimental eclectic electronic laptop improv band
formed by the very founders of enough. we never actually practice
and have a large variety of diferent music taste derived from within
the deep passion for music, hence aenedra is a pure jam band born
in the laptop age. aenedra sounds like a drug. music is a drug to us
and we have no issues exteriorizing all it's glory in diferent forms.
streaming from triphop to dub, acutely turning breaks into techno,
downshifting to trance, transponding to postrock, exploding into
glitch noise and reverberating in microsound, industrial or idm.
aenedra's first concert was at a trance festival chillout tent
back in 2002, the second at a theatre entry hall in 2003. a few other
jam sessions occured sporadically. 3 years later we invited two
of our close friends arg0n and jeenio to jam with us (ps and inf*)
the stage, fonoteca municipal de lisboa.
inf* and ps preassembled a few ambience loops of glitch and idm.
full creative liberty was the mantra and the end result vaguely
drafted during the cacophonic sound check. arg0n was on the drums
beeing sodomized by inf*'s laptop + midi control. jeenio on the
electric guitar, vaguely missguided by ps's random directions.
amongst tracks the names were reoccuringly announced as beeing
untitled. this fact is important although irrelevant to explain why.
we don't expect anyone to feel the pain of everything we transmit,
but we had fun playing whatever came to our heads with the flow of
the session. it might not be the best album ever released, but we
hope you'll be able to enjoy listening to this unmastered bootleg.
