yes, spinning kids are back after about 2 years
of comfortable sleeping and jerking , and the
best party possible to release our handful of
bytes is, of course, mekka symposium!
furthermore , this is our first prod featuring
our friend wiss , who joined our crew to bring
some fresh canadian flavour.
let's point out the credits:
code : rio, pan, wiss
design: pan, rio, dixan
music : dixan
and then some dues:
firelight multimedia for minifmod music system
luks for minifmod port to linux
m. oberhumer & l. molnar for UPX packer
liz for her patience
philip k. dick for his nightmares

PK is dead in Linux

Many thanks fly to Aragorn for the great job he
made in the last months: Porting PK to Linux.
It wasn't an easy job since me (PaN) did his
best to make the intro less portable as
possible. I hope you like it.
This package contains a UPX compressed version
of the executable. Just in case, you'll find
the "Linux only" .tar.gz file at:
http://www.spinningkids.org/ftp/codes/sk-pkd-i386.tar.gz
You'll find the previous sk-pkd.zip at:
http://www.spinningkids.org/ftp/codes/sk-pkd-win32.zip
*PaN!*

Linux version release notes

You'll need SDL, the latest OpenGL stuff for
your video card, a working sound board and a
decent X (4.2 should do it). See below what
"ldd pkisdead" croaks on my system.
"./pkisdead -?" gives help. Enjoy.

Working on the design, I was inspired by the
book "Ubik" and the short novel "Misadjustment"
both from Philip K. Dick (1928-1982).
