hi all!

first of all a bit about my background and what this post is all about.

i have been working at a software development company - 5 years c++ and opengl. i'm suffering from burnout. i love coding but i can't do it anymore. shit happens, i guess. i think a lot of you have seen my work on tv without knowing that i wrote the code for that. anyway, i had to quit and do something else.

now that's where i need your help. i have started a company with a bunch of friends. we do a lot of things - one of which is making concepts for events. we have a customer that practically eats everything we give him. he owns a very profitable discotheque with a big - how do you call it in english? - a _very_ big room (hall?), whatever, and he wants to plan uncommon events in that room. he has enough money for experiments - and that's where it's getting interesting. because i and my friends will be in charge of planning those events.

so, well, i wanted to point out that i have a great understanding of coding and what demos are all about. and i have this guy with a big room, a video wall and a great sound system and i can sell him any idea as long as it is good. so i asked myself: hey, demos are possibly the greatest multi-media-experience on earth. and there is this huge video/pa system. there has to be a way to combine that. i think you get the idea.

so, if anybody here finds this vague idea interesting please email me: vertex at gmx dot at. i don't have the time to check back here, sorry. and the idea is very young at the moment, there is no concept yet, there is no guarantee that anything will happen at all. i'm still researching. nevertheless, contact me if you find this strange post interesting. and good night, i'm 22 hours up and working, so it's time to conclude this day. happy anyday and so.

maybe you should've at least mentioned the country you're talking about.

for the rest, yes, organising a demoparty or something vaguely related to that in such a hall is a cool idea.

We do something interesting, that can combine a lot of media stuff that people are doing here.
Check out http://www.feedtank.com . Interactive floor projections! It sperfect for discotechques and lounges. In factwe just did one for a lounge on New Years
