Hi,
I see that all parties are made in some sort of big hall which actually is not very comfortable.

Would anyone of you all sceners out there go to a party held in a 5 star luxury hotel and pay a few hundert euros / night?

Dialogos 2001 was held in a shopping mall with a very own small bar, chillout corner with couches and a movie theatre for watching the compos. However the party area with computer seats was in a more normal hall.

Buenzli partyplace has been also very comfy for the past 4 years (first Bierhubeli with again very own bar, then another location but again a chillout corner with lots of pillows for people to just lay down and relax.

I hope the future of small parties to be more into a comfy direction - more and more people have laptops and with those there's not that big need for traditional party halls.

How about a "pillow hall" with WLan & bar?
I guess that's all what most of the people need.
Also a big screen of course, maybe on the ceiling?

the point is, we will be there if:
- we can watch a demo while having a beer.
- it's comfortable to sit and crash
- there is a huge projector and soundsystem
- it's not over expensive
- it's not located outside central europe
- we can show/play whatever we want on the bigscreen

saunas and nearby coffeshops are big plus but not mandatory.

oh yes, also decent boozeshop close by (or unlimited open bar with decent variety of beers and assorted white drinks) thats also a big plus. (for the drunkards that is.. which is like atleast 70% of the sceners who usually attend parties/scenemeetings me thinks...)

Open Bar would mean it would have to be a very small party, I would think. Cuz otherwise I have a distinct feeling we'd run out on day 1 (:

A few hundred Euros per day? No way, since most of us are pupils, students or at least horrible underpaid.

I have thought about a "luxury" party that isn't so much a luxury party because you're in some fancy hotel, but is a luxury party because you're in the beauty of the wilderness being fed really great food and being well taken care of. I am scouting out locations in Utah for such a meeting, but haven't found the right combination yet.
