| | Topic: | CODER wanted for ORIGINAL HL2 mod | | | Hi, my name is Marco, I am 34 years old and I got an ORIGINAL idea for a game, and of course I think it will be an idea of success.
I play videogames since I was 6 years old, so I have got much critique eye and I always look to playability before graphics and so on.
I think this idea can be developed as a mod for Half Life 2.
I've built a little site with no graphics at all, just to give a rough idea of what the game will be, you can find it here: http://www.nablasoft.com/mgfx/%5Fvarie/ap/
My skills are mainly in the visuals/modeling/texturing part, but I am also able to program BASIC and FileMaker so I'm not completely fast of programming.
Here http://www.nablasoft.com/mgfx/ you can see what I'm talking about.
But I know my limits. And my main limits in this case are that I don't know C++ and I don't have time to program all this mod alone in C++ while learning it. That would be crazy to think to make something acceptable as first programming experience with this language.
So what? I am looking for a GOOD coder, DETERMINED person, preferably OVER 18 (age usually gives a little more grant of seriousness) that will believe in the game and will start with me this job.
This person must not think to this game-making like if it's a floating adventure, he must BELIEVE in this game, he must LIKE THE IDEA of the game, and thus follow it religiously having a big wish to see this COMPLETE.
On the site you find only a little part, just a small trace of what the game will be. I have bigger documentation here at home, which must not reach the site, I will give this to who will join the team.
This mod will be free or commercial, depending on the professional level we will be able to reach.
I aim for commercial but you never know how things go.
Please email me if you are interested, you find email contact on the site.
| i can give you this: you sure as hell won't find that coder here.
plus, you're an ass, do you really think you the only guy out there with an idea? everybody dreams, all the time, and most people prefer to realise their own dreams rather than someone else's.
