Hi

I'm a coder with a very keen interest in the Scene and its parties, but who sadly has little time to devote to either. A job and open source development keep me too busy to become as involved as I'd like.

What I would like is to feel the atmosphere associated with the Scene; in particular, to listen to the talk of active enthusiasts and music to code to. I guess I'm looking for an IRC channel (or just a network) where many English-speaking sceners hang out and online streams/playlists of demo music.

Any pointers? :)

efnet has a few scene hideouts too, or so i've heard.. i don't idle there for scene stuff.

#demoscene is mainly a hungarian hangout, you wouldn't really want to recommend that to strangers :) in addition there's #pouet.net on ircnet as well. and #ukscene for, erm, the uk scene. which is sadly quite inactive these days.

#demoscene is not recommended for anyone anymore. nothing to do with scene really. hungarian sceners are at #scene.hu now.
