Topic:  1-bit 3D demo
* Posted by metanet Wednesday 12 December 2007 - 0:59
hey,
I'm trying to find a demo/intro I came across a few years ago; all I remember was that it used a 1-bit framebuffer -- each time something was rendered it would flip the bits, resulting in a pretty cool black+white style.

Not sure if it was software or hardware 3D; I also remember a DnB sort of tune.

I'm hoping someone here knows this demo, I'd really like to see it again!

thanks.

almost, but not quite! thanks though, I enjoyed a good seizure ;)

the main effect in the demo I'm looking for is that, for instance, if a black object was passing in front of another black object, the area where the objects overlapped onscreen would be white. it's quite a striking effect, I really hope someone can help me find it..

At first I thought it could be be 3state's antimoney (http://www.scene.org/file.php?file=/demos/groups/3state/3s- money.zip)

But what you describe is different..

Was the graphics abstract enough to be something by satori?

The only part I remember was a human-shape with raised arms, and then some 3D rings/hoops/ribbons making a sort of ball above them..

This was 3-4 years ago so it's a bit hazy.
