Topic:  Rather odd request, didn't know where to stick this

'Ello folks. My alias is CommonOddity (As I'm sure you could tell), and I've been interested in the demoscene since '97, where I first saw Genocyd, from Wired '97. Right now I am attending Sheridan College, Trafalgar campus, in Canada. There is a newsletter here that has various columns which distributes fresh flavors and revisits what could be regarded as the 'obsolete'.

I was wondering if I would be able to write about the demoscene in there, or if I would have to ask for permission from anyone (Say groups, such as mfx or orange, etc)? I don't wish to push the demoscene into the mainstream, but what I see here is simply marvelous. Blindly I must admit that a lot of what is created by the folks from the demoscene is highly regarded by me and my friends as the evidence, if not epitome, of the cornerstone of human potential. Soulfood.

I wish to share this delicacy with others on campus. Would this be possible? Is there anything that I must do which would be a necessity? Who do I need to sleep with to make this happen? *Wink*

iirc, the freedom of speech principle has also reached canadian shores, so i suppose you're free to write whatever the fuck you want, as long as it doesn't offend washington. ;)
