 | | Topic: | About contacting aardbei | | | Hi,
I'm Ilyes Gouta, from Tunisia, I'm software engineer and basically work on embedded systems, and a huge fan of the demoscene, which I discovered back in 2002 thanks to aarbdei, tbl, exceed (and many other fine groups) demos.
I own a Beagleboard (http://beagleboard.org) which has an ARMv7 CPU (Cortex A8) and is OpenGL ES 1.1 capable (and even ES 2.0 where the application has to provide the fragment and vertex shaders too) and I always had that thought about "Please The Cookie Thing" demo, and well today I'd like to try to port it on the Beagleboard :)
So, I'm writing to ask you guys if you could point me out to how to contact aardbei, the original group who wrote it. An e-mail address would really be a good starting point.
Thanks,

| Hello Ilyes,
I have notified Ile of Aardbei about this post.
greetings,

| Hi,
I guess that if you cut out the precalc (which uses quite some x86 assembler) then you'd have a shot.
But I for one sadly don't have the sources anymore. Maybe snq still does, but he's gone dances with reindeer in Sweden :)
In fact you might be able to find his emailaddy if you google his name, which is "Nico Vrouwe". Seems he likes to race volvo's hehe | | |

Yes! Yes! Thanks! Alright, I'll just do that! Oh! if it happens that he still has those sources, that would be just awesome!
I'll keep you posted guys about any of these developments!

| Hi Ile,
So yesterday I wrote an e-mail to Nico and got a first answer from him! Things are in motion :)
