 | | Topic: | Sydney Sceners - Sydney Party - where are you!! | | | Greetings!!
Just to let you know that we will be planning a sydney Demo party next year in June. details released later in the year.:)
Now we need recrutiment!! im hunting down all the old sceners from the c64 - amiga and PC days and possibly trying to inspire some gamer lamer lans to co op with to try and inspire the newbies to the ever dying scene. The young kids are our only carry on to the next scene generation in OZ. Euro parties seem to use this marketing strategy aswell and it works. optional.
My marketing plan will be targeted at the following resources:
CSDB
Aminet and links
current active demoscene group websites :(
old group OZ websites and blogs
Scene.org
Pouet.net
universities and computer art colleges
digital art and 3d commerial groups
c64 and amiga user groups
facebook - Australiansceners
Im gathering old resources and lists and emails of old sceners in Sydney. If you have any names and know of any sceners or ex sceners be sure on any platform please be sure to let us know.
I know that there was alot fo Amiga sceners in sydney back 10 years ago... and i know some are still lurking..
Well thats my 2 cents worth for this week!!
cheers

| | not a sydney scener, but hells yeah | | |
| Hi Reload, I'm in!
Now starting a blog to gather resources and information about the Australian scene: http://demOZcene.wordpress.com
My focus is more on nu-skool demos than on the C64 and Amiga's oldies goodies. But I was decent basic programmer myself on ZX Spectrum and TI/994A in the early eighties in France :-)
Anyway, I'm really keen to get involved and help you setting up a major party in Sydney, at last!
Keep me posted. Cheers, Luc. | | |
