| | The simplest instrument is a sample with volume/panning/whatever envelopes attached. To make your instrument sound more natural you need several samples of notes played on the real life instrument. Take a piano for example: if you sample every single note and map them accordingly in your instrument you'll get much more natural results than with a single sample. The amount of samples a single instrument can contain really depends on the tracker and instrument format you use. | | |
