What is the usual screen mode that people use for their demos?

I am currently using 640x480 in 32bit colour, is that too small compared to others?

800x600 is fine.

Either you use a menuselector, or you use the desktop resolution, atleast then people with LCD's wont have to suffer.. (You can always use a dynamic rendertarget to correct the resollution(s) of your fillrate demanding parts.)
