| We are planning to print some nice Scene.org t-shirts, available at various demoparties starting from Assembly 2004. However, our staff is not very good in deciding what the t-shirts should have besides the Scene.org logo and so we need your help with this.
You can also post here your own slogan suggestions - and if it happens we pick up a slogan that is suggested by some of you you'll get a free t-shirt. :)
| Well, I prefer something more passionate.
Like "Use your Computing Power", "wake up your bits", "dance with 64Kbytes", "meet the reality of virual reality".
You want more ideas?
:-)
This is good too! "You want more ideas? > Scene.org!"
| | nexus of the digital underground | | |
| | Scene.Org - Your Digital Poetry Fix | | |
| front: Do You Demo?
back: We Do [scene.org]
front: Do You Speak Demo?
back: We Do [scene.org]
front: noninteractive multimedia demonstrations
back: [scene.org] | | |
| > front: Do You Demo?
> back: We Do [scene.org]
I totally like the interaction of front and back here. I'd prefer something like that, really!!
| demos make me happy,
make me happy! | | |
| | It's better to use short slogans, to get "not-sceners" to think what do you exactly mean. There were few good ideas, so let's connect them: "[scene.org] , got the beauty?, realtime." "scene.org, art. flow. energy.", "scene.org... no trash, just art. realtime." . Think about it. It must be the same way original design as the scene itself... making "yet-another-cheesy-trendy-tshirt" would not make any sense... | | |
| i like "We got demos" ... but what about
"we have demo."
?
cheers, keep the good work!
| | "no darn gamers, just scene lamers!" ;-) | | |
| ."what do you think about my t-shirt ?"
."demos dealers"
."emasculate all gamers"
."i'm a drunkard"
."destroy the human race"
."i'm arneweisse"
."i'm not the organizer of this mess"
."beer, demo, beer, demo, beer, demo, beer, demo, beer, demo, beer..."
."quake"
."the demo sin"
."kick me"
."an organizer of this party is located on my left"
."an organizer of this party is located on my right"
."they forced me to buy it and to wear it"
."the organizer of this mess is located behind me"
."demoscene /'demeusi:n/: just an obscure form of pop art"
."The best counter strike mapping resource"
."This t-shirt belongs to: " (add nick/group here)
...
and all that sort of fascinating but somehow totally irrelevants slogans.
have a nice day.[Post edited by hitchhikr on Friday 2 July 2004 - 1:58]
| | "I invented a slogan for scene.org and all I got was this lousy t-shirt" | | |
| | I second that. That means I'm second. And don't ask me how many. | | |
| oh, a lot could be done...
puh... nearly anything is possible...
front: INSIDE
back: scene.org
front: Seen the Scene
front: Real Beer, Real Demos
back: Real Scene
front: I watched your Demo!
much more is possible... and ofcourse, if it wouldn't be a label already: inScene.org[Post edited by nea on Thursday 1 July 2004 - 23:49]
| I think Sanity said it best....
Demo Or Die | | |
| This is probably the best idea so far, altho
i'd definitely buy one that says "I'm a demoscener, if you see me running, I went for a beer" on the back too ;)
| yes!
DEMO OR DIE
scene.org | | |
| | i would cast my vote for "demo or die" ... i also wouldn't mind "plz be drunk" | | |
| damn yes !
//i planned to order a t-shirt with
//following in large letters :
D E M O O R D I E *
//and following in small letters
//at the bottom of t-shirt :
*we stole Sanity slogan :P
//that would look nice imo
| yeah, meant to be
DEMO OR DIE
extra spaces got removed :(
| | "Your mother is a motherfucking giraffe" | | |
| what ekoli said just there.
or "DEMOMAKING IS NOT A CRIME" in impact font.
| | Ooh dude, I'd so wear that! ;P | | |
| I made a t-shirt that looked like that but the bloody print looked like shit after the first wash.
One guy wanted to punch me in the face for disrespecting his mother! :-)
| | "Machine is evil! BAD BAD BAD!" | | |
| actually i think just "scene.org" would be something i'd buy.
or your mother is a mother fucking giraffe (layed out as in the demo).
or well, at least not anything as cheesy as most suggestions (including the ones on the poll). it's not like sceners have to be all politically correct or anything..
| I like the subtitle of fr-02:
Raum, Klang und Design.
| | "The Code Inside" inspired by the BP04-Invitation would be cool :) | | |
| "a computer is a tool to create"
"don't be a consummer, resist!"
"be creative or burn your computer"
"demoscene is not dead"
"art for free"
"art for all, art for free, art for you!"
"fuck riaa, we do free music for you!"
"computer generated art"
"stop consumming, it's time to create!"
| Those sound so naïve and tacky. I keep complaining about the cynics, but on the other hand, with such hippie slogans who shouldn't be. (cynical, that is)
Anyway just to let you know, there's only one m in comsumer.[Post edited by _-_-__ on Sunday 4 July 2004 - 1:25]
| | hey zone stop that, i like consuming. | | |
| "I'd rather be nothing."
Just to clarify, we'll probably make a choice between no slogan at all or a slogan that really is cool enough for the t-shirts. So far the best suggestions on this forum are already used slogans and I feel like it wouldn't be nice to rip one (even if ripping is important part of the demoscene :). Not that having two "Demomaking is not a crime" t-shirts would hurt...
Well, keep the slogan suggestions coming, there's still time for the perfect slogan to come up.
| Then again "demomaking is not a crime" is not *exactly* original either.
(And not just because it's ripped off from the famous skateboarding slogan, but it also was featured in at least a demo before it was used on buenzli tshirts. I'll let you guess which demo that was)
| | Hmm... sounds like a demo with ripped Bubble & Bobble characters. :) | | |
| i actually ripped it from the t-shirt "masturbating is not a crime", which of course ripped the "skateboarding is not a crime" one :)
didn't know about the demo, tho.
| | "The name's org. scene.org." | | |
| | I actually like this one... short and simple. | | |
| Me too ... but make it:
Front: "Got demos?"
Back: "We do. [scene.org]"
Free alteration of a suggestion above made by axm : ) .
| | i was going to suggest this too .. | | |
| "in scene.org we trust"
or
"scene.org - better than sex"
or
"01110011 01100011 01100101 01101110 01100101 00101110 01101111 01110010 01100111"
| "keep generating"
"we save our downtimes for easter - scene.org [could not resolve host]"
| "suck my fucking balls you stupid gamers"
"start making a demo before i shoot you"
"al'qademoa"
"nice tshirt huh? im wearing it for months now"
| | "el presidente la revolution!" | | |
| | A simple "Create." would be also nice i think. | | |
| i think zoom|cns is the only one with a good suggestion (including the originals)
scene.org
create.
evolve.
or something cliche as that might work...?
| | yeah, that, but without the evolve part! | | |
| | actually scene.org relates to "Contain." more :D | | |
| Mixed ideas from Denmark...
"scener's unite!"
"scener by choice"
"Fuck prerendered - We're realtime!"
"72dpi - all we need!"
"Binary Badass!"
"Game Over - Scene.org"
"In Scene.org we believe" (kinda cheesy i know)
| "Fuck prerendered - We're realtime!"
Anything derived from this would be good.
| how about a 'make demo' button? :P
'we .organise your demos' ?[Post edited by Maali on Tuesday 6 July 2004 - 14:53]
| well, I'm not sure if I should tell this, but a while ago I made some t-shirts with the words:
[scene.org]
they are for sale on my site http://mooseek.iict.net/ click on the shop link.
Anyway, I didn't do this for the money (I only get 2 dollars for each shirt sold), but to help spread the word about this great community. I hope you see this as I do, otherwise, if you need me to stop selling the shirts, I'll gladly do.
| | actually a simple [scene.org] would be nice | | |
| "Those who know, know.
scene.org" | | |
| - "Please fix your code"
- "Home of sceners"
- "All your demos belong to us"
- "I'm with scener"
- "Get a life !!! watch demos"
- "Digital Art"
- "Demos since '90"
- "Home of sceners"
- "Games suxx"
- Slogan of 'Pc demo fan club' : "Demos are to computer games what poetry is to prose"
- "Hexadecimal hangover"
- "Back 2 the demos"
- "640ko should be enough for everyone"
- "Think Demos"
- "THE scene"
- "Code / Design / Graphic / Music"
- "Remember to vote"
- "Don't miss the deadline"
- "Code it"
- "Just demos"
- "Code advisory"
- "Demos inside" | | |
| | how about "I'm with lamer ->"? | | |
| Front:
want to be scene?
Back
scene.org | | |
| a demo a day keeps the doctor away
all your base are belong to us[Post edited by muh on Sunday 11 July 2004 - 22:12]
| i would either put "scene.org" alone or some text with a question mark and "scene.org" as an answer (in a good layout). my attempt:
"dreamer? - scene.org"
| | What about: "We have computers which can beat your computers" ? | | |
| How about "Punish Your Machine"?
(from Robotnik, by Rage)
Always loved that.... :)
| | taken from a front 242 song title. | | |
| | "you ain't scene nothin' yet!" | | |
| | so far, this has been the only good slogan here over three words long. | | |
| something short like just "realtime."
i also like fozzie's "Please fix your code",
and raindaemon's "you ain't scene nothin' yet!" is hilarious.
| | You could have the "realtime" effects-brag-box and underneath it something like "3.1415.. etc billion poly's in this scene.org" | | |
| GET INSIDE THE SCENE
[SCENE.ORG] | | |
| | or otherwise 'LOBSTER'... a lot of frenchies would appreciate that | | |
| another homophone:
"it must be scene to believe..."
btw, fozzie's "hex hangover" is a great suggestion.
| hmm...
we could also just fineprint the source of tube/asc :D
| | That would look really nice compared to other nerds with "Hello world!" source on their t-shirts. :) | | |
| how about
dieser mensch ist glücklich! er hat scamps neuen happy hardcore track gehört! mach es ihm nach!
scene.org | | |
| hi all ! when will these tshirts be on sale ?? will it be possible to order 'em on line ?
i'm very fuckin'much interested, thx ![Post edited by V. on Saturday 17 July 2004 - 13:46]
| What about: "your shirt sux" on front
and at the back: "mine hex" and "scene.org" in small letters beneath
| we were trying to get some for asm already but that might not be possible.
so bunzli or evoke should be a more sure shot.
we'll see if they get ready in time or not. :)
| | "because computers never simulates headaches" | | |
| | "Keep the Power of The True Scene Alive" | | |
| dudes, better leave an unanswered question on it, like this
got demo?
it's rather describes an endless flow of your imagination, creativity, energy.
imo.
got the beauty? | | |
| FRONT: Slave to the
BACK . [Scene.org]
or
FRONT: Slave to 64k
BACK . [Scene.org]
or
FRONT: DemO Slave
BACK . [Scene.org]
or
FRONT: [Scene.org]
BACK . [DEvoTioN]
or
FRONT: [Devour 64k]
BACK . | Scene.org |
FRONT: Call to Mind
BACK . [Scene.org] | | |
| | .........or something like that! :) | | |
| Something that suggests the realtime aspect, but maybe in a more subtle manner, like "Watch the beauty unfold right before your eyes."
Failing that, "Demo or die" always works for me.
| "Envmap this"
"I got your code right here"
"I'll do it in 40K"
"All about hex"
"Scene's dead." | | |
| | "4ddict3d to BuMp-m4pped V3cToRS" ... :) | | |
| | Yeah. I'd like "Scene's dead" on the front and "btw, I fucked the girl in farbrausch" on the back. | | |
| | "I debug your source code" ? :) | | |
| | TRUE! the current one rather sucks. just like the whole webdesign. Next thing to do after this tshirt thing ... | | |
| | The webdesign has been done by somebody who actually *cared* to do something for scene.org when scene.org ask for web-designers. This is much better than people who whine and complain till their heart's dry. | | |
| | "Your Demo Smorgasbord - Scene.org" | | |
| "we are demo" // used in point blank
FRONT : scene
BACK : org /* or ' .org' */ and a logo
"got a life ?
get a scene !"
FRONT : "watch your back" :)
BACK : "scene.org"
FRONT : "do you ?"
BACK : "scene.org"
FRONT : "never enough"
BACK : "scene.org"
"44 45 4D 4F"
and once again
"we prefer 64 to 69"
would be cool[Post edited by apricot on Sunday 25 July 2004 - 23:14]
| | i am a woman, my wife is a man, he's twelve years old. | | |
| | Man, how this one brings back memories! ;) | | |
| so what's the decision?
uh-uh
shall i ever be able to buy it?!?!
i'm so excited!!!
i'm just eager to wear it, even knowing the fact that i've never written a single code string as a part of a demo code...jus' stupid ms applications :(
i want to be kewl!
yeah :)
ps to be serious, WHEN? | | |
| | stuff the slogans how about [scene.org] with some crazy awesome contemporary design | | |
| | Thanks everybody for the feedback. The t-shirts will have "Got demos?" in the back. You can expect them to arrive for Buenzli and Evoke. [Post edited by melw on Sunday 1 August 2004 - 11:57] | | |
