We are planning to print some nice Scene.org t-shirts, available at various demoparties starting from Assembly 2004. However, our staff is not very good in deciding what the t-shirts should have besides the Scene.org logo and so we need your help with this.

You can also post here your own slogan suggestions - and if it happens we pick up a slogan that is suggested by some of you you'll get a free t-shirt. :)

Well, I prefer something more passionate.

Like "Use your Computing Power", "wake up your bits", "dance with 64Kbytes", "meet the reality of virual reality".

You want more ideas?

:-)

This is good too! "You want more ideas? > Scene.org!"

I totally like the interaction of front and back here. I'd prefer something like that, really!!

It's better to use short slogans, to get "not-sceners" to think what do you exactly mean. There were few good ideas, so let's connect them: "[scene.org] , got the beauty?, realtime." "scene.org, art. flow. energy.", "scene.org... no trash, just art. realtime." . Think about it. It must be the same way original design as the scene itself... making "yet-another-cheesy-trendy-tshirt" would not make any sense...

i like "We got demos" ... but what about

"we have demo."

?

cheers, keep the good work!

."what do you think about my t-shirt ?"
."demos dealers"
."emasculate all gamers"
."i'm a drunkard"
."destroy the human race"
."i'm arneweisse"
."i'm not the organizer of this mess"
."beer, demo, beer, demo, beer, demo, beer, demo, beer, demo, beer..."
."quake"
."the demo sin"
."kick me"
."an organizer of this party is located on my left"
."an organizer of this party is located on my right"
."they forced me to buy it and to wear it"
."the organizer of this mess is located behind me"
."demoscene /'demeusi:n/: just an obscure form of pop art"
."The best counter strike mapping resource"
."This t-shirt belongs to: " (add nick/group here)
...
and all that sort of fascinating but somehow totally irrelevants slogans.

have a nice day.

oh, a lot could be done...
puh... nearly anything is possible...

front: INSIDE
back: scene.org

front: Seen the Scene

front: Real Beer, Real Demos
back: Real Scene

front: I watched your Demo!

much more is possible... and ofcourse, if it wouldn't be a label already: inScene.org

* Posted by BoyC Sunday 4 July 2004 - 4:19
This is probably the best idea so far, altho
i'd definitely buy one that says "I'm a demoscener, if you see me running, I went for a beer" on the back too ;)

actually i think just "scene.org" would be something i'd buy.

or your mother is a mother fucking giraffe (layed out as in the demo).

or well, at least not anything as cheesy as most suggestions (including the ones on the poll). it's not like sceners have to be all politically correct or anything..

"computer generated art"
"stop consumming, it's time to create!"

Those sound so naïve and tacky. I keep complaining about the cynics, but on the other hand, with such hippie slogans who shouldn't be. (cynical, that is)

* Posted by melw Sunday 4 July 2004 - 10:09
"I'd rather be nothing."

Just to clarify, we'll probably make a choice between no slogan at all or a slogan that really is cool enough for the t-shirts. So far the best suggestions on this forum are already used slogans and I feel like it wouldn't be nice to rip one (even if ripping is important part of the demoscene :). Not that having two "Demomaking is not a crime" t-shirts would hurt...

Well, keep the slogan suggestions coming, there's still time for the perfect slogan to come up.

* Posted by _-_-__ Sunday 4 July 2004 - 15:50
Then again "demomaking is not a crime" is not *exactly* original either.

(And not just because it's ripped off from the famous skateboarding slogan, but it also was featured in at least a demo before it was used on buenzli tshirts. I'll let you guess which demo that was)

* Posted by melw Monday 5 July 2004 - 10:03
Hmm... sounds like a demo with ripped Bubble & Bobble characters. :)

* Posted by fred Tuesday 13 July 2004 - 11:56
i actually ripped it from the t-shirt "masturbating is not a crime", which of course ripped the "skateboarding is not a crime" one :)
didn't know about the demo, tho.

scene.org

create.

evolve.

or something cliche as that might work...?

yeah, that, but without the evolve part!

* Posted by Gargaj Monday 5 July 2004 - 13:15

Mixed ideas from Denmark...

"scener's unite!"

"scener by choice"

"Fuck prerendered - We're realtime!"

"72dpi - all we need!"

"Binary Badass!"

"Game Over - Scene.org"

"In Scene.org we believe" (kinda cheesy i know)

well, I'm not sure if I should tell this, but a while ago I made some t-shirts with the words:

[scene.org]

they are for sale on my site http://mooseek.iict.net/ click on the shop link.
Anyway, I didn't do this for the money (I only get 2 dollars for each shirt sold), but to help spread the word about this great community. I hope you see this as I do, otherwise, if you need me to stop selling the shirts, I'll gladly do.
